Tatiana & Tyler

A garden shed did the job of an altar, and it did it well. Someone had hung sheer curtains across its doors, strung a garland of greenery and orange roses along the roofline, and set potted evergreens and pampas grass on either side. Rugs ran across the lawn as the aisle. Behind the seating, a clear-topped tent held round tables in white and mustard, with vines and dried grasses hanging from the frame. All of it sat in the backyard of Tyler's parents' home.

Tatiana got ready under a rose-gold BRIDE balloon banner, bridesmaids in floral robes and then burnt orange satin helping with her gown. Tyler's groomsmen, in burgundy suits like his, took turns straightening his collar in a sunny orange room. She came up the aisle on the arm of a man in a black suit, and they exchanged rings in front of that shed with a microphone in Tyler's hand. Portraits took them to a red covered bridge and a stick teepee tucked into the woods.

The wedding party came back through clouds of orange and teal smoke, bridesmaids in sage and marigold, groomsmen in burgundy with floral bow ties. At the dessert table, Tyler fed Tatiana a bite of cake and she laughed so hard she covered her face. After dark, masked guests lined the rug with sparklers, and Tyler dipped Tatiana for a kiss right where they'd said their vows a few hours earlier.
