A personal reason

For my family.

Part of the reason I got into photography was simple: I wanted to be able to make beautiful photographs of my own family. I’m grateful to have them, and to have photographs like these to hold on to.

These are my people, and these moments mean everything to me. I’d love to photograph your family with that same care, so you can cherish your people and remember your moments the way I do.

What I’m looking for

The way you look
when you forget
how you look.

A child leaning into a parent. That glance before the vows. A laugh that arrives before anyone is ready. Those are the details I notice.

My love of film and fine art shapes the light, the composition, and the atmosphere. But the photograph has to feel like you. That’s what gives it a life beyond the frame.

That’s my part.

We start with you.

What matters about these photographs? Who will be in them? What would make you feel comfortable? We talk before we shoot.

I give you a way in.

A little movement. Somewhere to put your hands. Space to settle. I give direction when it helps, then leave room for what happens naturally.

We make room for real life.

Children move. People laugh at the wrong moment. Plans change. The work is in noticing what is already there, and making something beautiful with it.

Beyond the session

A good eye
can be shared.

Teaching is part of the work, too. Photography for Parents helps families notice the moments happening around them. Photography MBA helps photographers build a business around their craft.
